Orchid’s position on sustainability is a three-fold holistic approach that encompasses environmental, social and economic responsibility both from our parent company, Corona, and Orchid Ceramics. As part of Corona, Orchid Ceramics is proud to be involved in some of the most advanced environmental practices in the tile industry.

Being "green" is not just a trend - it is a responsibility. At Corona, we take this responsibility seriously and continue to look for ways to reduce our impact on the environment while still maintaining the quality and service that you expect from us. We achieve this through our continuing manufacturing initiatives:

• Reduced tile thickness on our red-body portfolio, reducing raw materials, energy consumption, and fuel while still maintaining the structural integrity of the product
• We reuse 68% of the waste generated by all manufacturing processes throughout the organization
• Corona ceramic tile factories recycle and reuse 100% of all water used in the production process
• We have initiatives to reduce electric energy consumption by 1,462.068 Kilowatts and thermal energy by 1,077.882 Nm3.
• Continued investment in sustainable mine-land recovery programs
